Now every single purchase supports the Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter: a small, community-powered nonprofit in Newport, NC that takes in injured and orphaned native wildlife and gives them a second chance at the wild.

Founded in 1988 in Newport, NC, OWLS rescues, rehabilitates, and releases injured, sick, and orphaned native North Carolina wildlife. That means raptors, songbirds, shorebirds, and yes — all the other critters that share this coast with us. Owls, hawks, pelicans, deer, turtles — if it's native to NC and it needs help, OWLS shows up.
What makes them extraordinary: they receive zero state or federal funding. Every animal they save — every surgery, every feeding, every release — is funded entirely by people in the community who care.
